Motorcycle season is already here and we’ve got 4 Harleys in same day. And this post is about one of them.
Beautiful black 2008 Street Glide.
Bike came for subwoofer install and some wiring clean up.
Well, let’s start with wiring. Here is left saddlebag with JL audio amplifier.
All this wires must go into the garbage bin and replaced with new wires and quick release connectors
Also, we need to make new bracket for JL amplifier.
Sadllebag wiring done
When this bike came to the shop it has absolutely no bass. To get more output from the speakers which already been installed before we have to fix air leak at all of those speakers.
Fairing speakers
Lower fairing speakers. Someone just cut the stock box and put the speakers in it without adapters or something.
Also, this bike has a stock saddlebag lids with 5×7 speakers, but someone put 6.5 speakers in it using weird plywood adapters. We need new 5×7 speakers!
Time to build the subwoofer. We going to use 10 inch Kicker CVR subwoofer. This speaker works prefect in very small boxes.
Metal plate inside the cargo box has been modified to let the bass go outside the box. Cargo box also been modified
173 holes in the plate and cargo box

Here is subwoofer box wrapped in carpet. Nice little suit case 🙂
Last touch- SHOW STICK. This stick used at parking lot to keep the cargo box open and gives you more bass
